Horrible customer service and terrible tech. Impossible to get through to anyone who knows definitively how the AirBnB site/tech works to advise accordingly. Put on hold for ages only to have no one come back to you. Then you try to connect through chat and the system keeps kicking you off. Their tech is awful and their customer service not capable of resolving issues thoroughly and efficiently. Also, the fact you cannot use a gift card toward a second payment (the second 50% if breaking up the payment), is ridiculous. A gift card is a payment method and it should be possible to use it on its own or in combination with another payment method if one wants.So much easier to book with a hotel. AirBnb used to be novel but now it's just a pain.
