This site is simply put an apple fanboys club. Articles are pro apple only and comparable products are dragged into the mud by authors. If you like to hear just how good and perfect Apple products are then go for it. Otherwise don't.
Don’t trust anything you read here. Lots of unacceptable typos relating to command key commands.
They publish misleading and false information about other companies' products in order to make Apple look better. Their "product comparisons" are a bad joke as they universally conclude that Apple is better in every way because they judge the merit of all other devices by how closely they resemble Apple's products and operating system. They automatically assume that Apple is the best product out there and that any deviation from Apple's design choices is a bad thing.
I literally use AppleInsider every single day to keep up to date with ipad and iphone news, sure they are very pro apple.. but what do people expect. They do a lot of positive stories, which I like.. there's far to much negativity in the news. Especially at the moment! I've purchased quite a few accessories after the site recommended them, never been disappointed with a single item. I would like to see more videos on their actual site, but apart from that.. they are my go-to news site for anything related to apple.
Been reading AppleInsider for years. I'll concur with the negative reviews -- it's a website for Apple fans, for sure. It is not unbiased, but the website is focused on one company, so of course they must like that company. That being said, they do call Apple out on its BS -- removing/misrepresenting features, anti-competitive actions, and over-pricing. All that being said, it's a good place to get aggregated news and especially rumors about upcoming products. My main constructive criticism for them would be to hire an editor (or a better one). Very few articles are published without at least one typo, which does not live up to the standard of many of higher-profile tech review sites. However, I keep coming back because the articles feel like they're written by everyday people, not by Silicon Valley hype beasts or Wall Street suits. The reviews and commentaries talk about how a somewhat average person will use a product. Thanks AI and I hope you stick around.
