Accidentally booked a non refundable…

Accidentally booked a non refundable room which was not clear when booking, tried cancelling due to circumstances but hotel wont cancel. Booking.com should take more responsibility and stop advertising non refundable rooms but also be responsible to get money back to consumers who change plans to travel due to personal circumstances. Hotel wont give money back as its non refundable and booking.com just say they cant do nothing if hotel says no.

Absolutely fraudulently run company

Absolutely fraudulently run company. They have sharp practices that they adopt in keeping people's money. They take payments from guests weeks and months before the guests check in. When the guests checks out and they are supposed to pay the hosts/owners of the property, they fail to make the payment to them as & when due. How did they expect the owners, of the properties that they rent out, to pay the mortgages and utility bills if they retain the payments when due? How can they stay in business if they do not get paid? They withhold the payment for as long as they like so that they continue to accrue bank interest payment. That is fraud which they will never dare do in the US for fear of being sued / class action litigation. They are abusing their position of dominance and exploiting weaker UK legal system.

Dreadful

Dreadful. Cancelled reservation made in June for July on the morning of travel. Alternatives offered were £400 more with no assurance of payment and miles away from where we needed to be. No response to my communication this far. Will never use again Should have read trustpilot reviews !

Absolutely terrible - AVOID

Absolutely terrible. The company I arranged my accommodation and airport transfers with via booking.com were horrendous! The airport transfers didn't turn up so we had to arrange taxis and pay again for these (total €140). We then had to pay our room deposits via cash when we arrived instead of on card as arranged (total €990).When notifying booking.com of this upon our return, no action was taken and no money refunded for the airport transfers

Booked a property a few months ago to…

Booked a property a few months ago to attend a mile stone birthday (public holiday) a week out I received an email saying that the accommodation was cancelling our stay because we had to many people (booking allowed us to) and they were upping the price. We couldn’t find any other accommodation due to the public holiday. I emailed booking.com two weeks ago and still haven’t heard back. I can’t believe they allow bookings to cancel and up the price. We missed the birthday because of both parties.

Accommodation didn’t exist, no refund or apology

My mum booked an apartment through Late Rooms, owned by booking.com. She turned up to find it didn’t exist. Booking.com offered alternative accommodation after three hours of hanging around with luggage after a six hour journey, which was too far away and more expensive. My mum ended up having to call a friend to leave work to collect her and stay with her. Booking.com have never apologised and never offered a refund. Absolutely disgusting. AVOID
