Terrible experience with the actual Airbnb itself. Caused so much hassle to a booking that was supposed to happened in less than a week. Cancelled it the last minute. The hosts were amazing for trying to hold the property while sorting stuff out but in the end I just couldn't book it.Ruined a birthday, host missed out on money, and now this app gets a bad review what's not to love 🥰
The company can improve by making a fair decision regards to a refund Ask the paying guest are you happy with the amount instead of sending a email stating We are paying this amount into your bank could take up to 8 days The amount is only 10% of my total outlay instead of the expected 100%
My previous booking was amazing. Host was awesome. On my second booking, I got worst host. Though reviews said super host. However, air bnb team was extremely helpful. Can’t thank them enough for their support in finding alternate accommodation. Thanks a lot.My only suggestion is, please inspect before taking responsibility of other’s residence/ short term accommodation.
I have a property in Davenport Florida in Windsor island. Just give me a five star review on all the categories . The guest after the fact decided to send photos to AIRBNB which does not prove that it was my house . Airbnb without deducted $272 from me without any investigation. Airbnb is only guest friendly not Host friendly. 👎
Hosts write misleading descriptions & Airbnb backs them by telling the consumer they need to verify the information before booking. On vacation on an island, booked 1 place stating they had AC. We get there and it’s an oven with a fan. Had to leave that place and find another l, the same thing. We left. Airbnb & host refused to give 100% refund only gave 50%. Quality is terrible. Apparently no vetting of these places. Currently in another place that has an AC but no shampoo half a bar of soap, no cleaning products, sandpaper towels, but I can’t leave yet again. Here is where I get off the Airbnb train and will stick to hotels with guaranteed cleanliness and basic amenities and 100% customer service and guarantee. You would think I was renting a motel but for 300$ a night it’s actually not motel prices. No thanks. Good bye Airbnb.
I am hosting with airbnb. After 4 years they suddenly stopped my payouts. For 2 weeks they claimed wire transfer takes more then a week. Then I received a message about my approved Id is not valid because it is not in english :) After 2 days it was ok. Then they said there is open support team question, then everything was cleared.. Long story short they have a terrible support no one knows what the other one does. I still didn't get my money and stopped hosting.
Have had 2 bookings cancelled by hosts recently. Booked in May for New Year in Lanzarote, 2 weeks later they cancelled as they had double booked. Found a new villa, booked 2nd June, cancelled 6 weeks later with no explanation. Shouldn't be allowed to happen. Air BnB say its rare for hosts to cancel, well not in our case. We have spent £3000 on flights and have to start our search all over again....not on Air BnB!!!
Air B n B have a Extenuating Circumstances Policy that covers riots, civil unrest and civil disorder. However, they have no interest in applying it and just say their ‘Specialised Team’ say the area wasn’t affected. Apparently, they have ‘technology’ in place and happy for guests to compromise safety. They side with the Host and only care about money. A truly horrifying experience.
What was once a glorious app, the backbone of my digital nomad life, has turned into a cesspool of epic proportions, Fees stacked on fees, stacked on fees, deceptive hosts who charge astronomically for cleaning services but dare I not leave some dirty cutlery in the sink for I shall be fined another ridiculous fee.Airbnb inevitably grew to became the beast it once voewd to destroy. Quite a tragedy really...
First time booking an Airbnb and will be the last.Having experienced a underwhelming stay with an accommodation in Loch Tay, Scotland, Airbnb provided little support and clearly values the host over the end customer.A grubby property with a unclean hot tub (a key reason for booking was to get a property with a hot tub), our first wedding anniversary is really scarred with this disregard for the importance of people staying in these properties.I will not book again with Airbnb.
I would have given Airbnb -5 stars if there be an option. The booking credit policy is very unpleasant for almost all the users of Airbnb website.I booked a flat through Airbnb and later found out as extrenely uphill which made us cancell on medical grounds.I left the cash as booking credit thinking Airbnb is a reliable compnay where i can rebook or get my money back any time.I then tried to book a hotel room and never found any 4 or 5 star hotel on Airbnb website and left with no other choice except to ask for refund and found out that money as booking credit can never be refunded.I must have read the small font lengthy terms and conditions before booking through Airbnb. No one read such conditions taking such reputable companies as trustworthy but Airnnb is not.I asked the manager to either refund my money or book me a 4 or 5 star hotel, but they were helpless. This is like a trap. One must be very careful using Airbnb.Good luck!
