Appalling experience trying to get our Friday breakfast treat. Order placed and accepted by 10am. Driver after driver (4 in total) assigned, on way, at restaurant, etc. and no delivery. Contacted Deliveroo by Twitter and they tried to help but eventually the McDonald’s Western Road cancelled the order as the 11am deadline was past but didn’t tell Deliveroo which kept telling me riders were at the restaurant collecting an apparently non existent order until I cancelled at 11:45. Have been promised a refund and a £15 credit.
If I could give them zero stars. Worst delivery system. The custom service centre is useless and the riders are clueless. The numbers attached to their system for the riders do not work. Definitely will not be using them again. Uber eats and just eat are way better than Deliveroo.
This review is based on multiple orders. These all have been pricey food, arriving late, and cold! Often with missing items. When I informed Deliveroo about it, they said nothing can be done - even for missing items!!What's the point of their existence, other than making money for providing a search engine, that google offers for free?
Ordered takeaway and it never got delivered. Called the restaurant who advised me order had left the restaurant long time ago. Called deliveroo and they said order was delivered but explained not to my adress. This was 30 minites after waiting since delivery slot had passed. I was only told that they would investigate and let me know what happened and if they were satisfied that I didn't get the delivery they would issue refund but this would take upto 7 working days. Ended up ordering again and this time had to go and collect to avoid issues with delivery. THE DRIVER LIED OR DELIVERED MY ORDER TO A DIFFERENT ADRESS. Very unhappy with service.
It’s simple really. Ordered a Burger King for the family on Deliveroo, paid for priority delivery.Deliveroo have just the three elements.1) Successfully place order on their website - That worked2) check the order is right at pick up - Failed3) Deliver correct order to the right address - FailedAs soon as Deliveroo don’t check the order and deliver it with items missing they have failed in the service they are selling and I am paying for.Simple.Buyer beware!
As most companies who operate pay as you go delivery teams they will always struggle to offer a 5 star service and tbh my previous deliveroo orders haven’t been too bad but recently they just took me for an idiot. Ordered a kfc at 7.50pm, it was a large order as we have guest over and the app said it would be delivered between 8:40-8:50pm which I accepted. Nothing arrived at the set times so I rang them, they told me the rider was just getting to KFC and apologised, these thing happen so we waited another 10 minutes, then the delivery time started to get longer on the app, and it then got to 9:15pm. Everyone is now getting hangry so I called again and this time they had a problem with the order, this was lies now so cancelled the order which the lady was difficult about. I managed to find a guest of mine to drive to the KFC pick up exactly the same order and return home in 10 minutes and it was £18 cheaper. Literally pointless even existing, and you can see they almost fail to deliver good every minutes based on the reviews, only gave them a 2 star as they have managed to deliver on time in the past but can’t be asked to deal with these cowboys anymore.
Ordered a Marla from TGI Fridays, same meal ordered before so clicked reorder, Couldn’t reorder so tried again, this went through and so did the original order. Rang TGI and they said they would cancel one f the orders but needed to ring Deliveroo for a refund. Deliveroo said they contacted TGIand were told the order was being prepared, this was within 2 minutes of being ordered. So this cost £72 for 2 chicken strips. Won’t use Deliveroo again or order from Fridays.
My wife ordered a meal from MacDonalds. Meal was delivered minus one item. When Deliveroo was contacted by my wife, she was emailed to say sorry there was nothing they could do and asked to email support, which she did. Then she get a reply saying sorry, and that the account would be credited with the amount of the missing item and to be used within 90 days. A time limit, really!!! They screw up and then put a time limit so we have to order through them again. I told my wife to use Uber Eats rather than Deliveroo.
