Airbnb unreasonably locked my account and robbed my £4000+ gift card balance. I have contacted them multiple times but still have not got any meaningful reply or solution. My account was suddenly locked and removed by Airbnb for a “potential party risk”. All my three confirmed bookings were cancelled. And most importantly, after the bookings were cancelled, I would have £4000+ gift card balance in my account. But since I cannot access my account anymore, I have no way to use or transfer the gift card balance. They are effectively robbing £4000+ from me.
We have booked with air Bnb quite a few times now but we stayed at a lovely house from Tuesday to Friday last week and it was absolutely gorgeous. The host was really lovely and responsive, the booking process was really straight forward too. Will use Airbnb again for sure. Thank you x
I can’t even believe how pointless the customer service for AirBnb is. I booked a night near JFK with my husband which somehow got almost 5*, and it was dirty and had pubic hair all over the bed and in the shower, a dirty mirror and sink, and I had to pay over £100 with a £40 cleaning fee (how ironic is that). When I complained (with images!) they told me they had to ask the host for a refund, and this was denied. How can you ask the HOST of the bad place to refund!?! Of course they won’t give me any refund, they want the money!! Better yet I was offered $6 as a sorry. $6!!!! What a horrible joke and experience. Not the first time this has happened either, agents in the past haven’t replied for days or have been directly rude and unhelpful. What a waste of what could be a great service with such beautiful properties available and then a litter of horrible ones taking advantage of people. Not worth it - switch to Vrbo.
airbnb is ok for guest to rob hosts. I had the worst guest Paola Biti from London, a criminal who specializes in scamming to avoid paying her entire stay. Airbnb didn't do nothing for me as a host being scammed.
Booked everything to visit my first grandson for the very first time. Paid for travel and airbnb to be told the host cancelled my booking two days before travel. Absolutely furious. Utter rubbish service, they are NOT a viable alternative to an hotel. AVOID THIS COMPANY!
Casa del Bagatto. TrevisoComfortable and peaceful flat. Convenient for sightseeing, shopping and station. Constant hot water. Scrupulously clean. Helpful hosts, Elia and Marco. However, trying to leave a review on AirBnB has been impossible, as they do not send the verification code.Note: The stars refer to Elia and Marco, not Air BnB
Do you want to pay 25% more than equivalent hotel accommodation for 10% of the amenities and service? Well - step right up, we’ve got an app for that and it’s called Airbnb! We accidentally booked the wrong dates and immediately realised our mistake - contacted Airbnb within minutes! Yes minutes (!) but they sided with the host and wouldn’t let us change it, they both robbed us of £400! Had that been a hotel, it would have been no problem - no harm done, honest mistake and notified within minutes. Airbnb and the greedy host STOLE our money. Never again Airbnb! Filthy organisation. I hope you disappear back into the filthy sewer where you belong.
I had a terrible experience with Airbnb. Their service was miserable, and they demanded too much detailed information from me without taking any action against the hosts who mistreated and harassed me. It seemed like money was their only priority, and I couldn't trust them at all. They lacked accountability and transparency, and when I asked for a full refund, they expressed their inability to do so. I have no idea what kind of power they hold, but it's clear that they don't prioritize their guests' well-being or satisfaction. It's just heartbreaking to see such a lack of care in a company that I once thought was reputable.
If I could give 0 stars, I would. I feel like Airbnb just acting as a heavy for a con man. I booked a place for my young kids and I. It had good reviews (which makes no sense). It was filthy and Airbnb refused to do anything. I ended up leaving after one night because it felt unsafe. We should have left immediately, but we’d just had a long haul flight and we’re exhausted. It became clear we had bedbug bites after a couple days. Despite photo evidence of the bites (in the classic linear pattern), a doctor’s messages saying it probably was bedbugs and guidance, photos of the filth and dirty sheets - Airbnb literally said I was making it all up and refused to do anything. Then the host lies and tries to get more money from me, claiming I never returned the key (which I did return to the lockbox and scrambled it safely). I try to point out my years of good reviews as a guest as evidence of good character, but Airbnb just basically helped this guy steal hundreds of pounds from this single Mom on a teacher’s salary. Im closing my Airbnb account. Im not sure what happened. They used to do much better. One of the dodgiest experiences of my life.
I have never imagined how ban it could be!The terrible part happened on my identity verification. It keeps saying my passport & selfie is not clear enough which I have tried so many different way on that and it just kept on saying it is not clear enough without any further hints. And then, I just went to the customer support for help. Now, the nightmare came, they just asked me to switch to different platforms (Safari, Chrome, mobile app) without any useful information. They waste me 2 hours on this, and the point is THEY GHOSTED after that! They said passing me to another teammate and then GHOSTED completely, ignoring all my further requires and responses, that's INSANE!
Booked and paid for holiday home. After payment I received a list of terms and conditions, which in no way represented what I believed I had booked. Ie I was told it was dog friendly, but according to t's and c's dog not allowed on furniture or in bedroom. I mean when we are asleep how do we stop dog sleeping on furniture? Also they take an extra £200 returnable deposit for any loss or damage. When I asked for a full refund, I was only given 2/5ths of amount.Contacted Airbnb, but they are doing nothing. I don't believe it's legal to advertise without making t's and c's explicit before taking money. I am in the process of taking legal advice on this.
Airbub offered me 2parts of reservation so that the final price total is around £600. I succeeded to reserve both parts, but part B said to me that they have a mistaken price and cancelled my booking. Part A is a higher price than surrounding area, and it can only offer with partial refund. That means i will be forced to accept a higher price hotel, or directly lose around £200! by partial refund.I want to cancel all the reservation of all parts and take back all the money!
